We invite parents onto our campus daily to participate in a myriad of classroom activities, special events, the library, and field trips. Parents serve on Board committees, as well as participate in the PTO and POPS organizations. We welcome and encourage parents’ time, talents and resources. |

 | Q. | Is the school open year round? | | A. | Our school follows a traditional school calendar from September to June. During the summer, Camp Pegasus is open to the public for six weeks. |

 | Q. | How are parents informed of students' progress? | | A. | Parent conferences are scheduled twice yearly for the purpose of apprising parents of their child's progress. Lower School and Middle School have four reporting periods: at the end of each semester in January and June and mid-term reports are issued in November and March.

 | Q. | Does the school have an emergency preparedness plan? | | A. | The emergency preparedness program is reviewed annually, and students practice fire, earthquake and lock down drills several times a year. |

 | Q. | Is community service learning a part of the curriculum? | | A. | Yes, our school feels that community service is an important aspect of developing personal growth, sensitivity, responsibility, and intellectual awareness shaped by a respect for diversity. Past outreach projects have included service at Senior Centers, The Environmental Nature Center, the Veteran's Hospital, Orangewood, and Share Our Selves, among others. Middle School students are required to perform 15 hours of community service per year. |

 | Q. | Is tuition increased every year? | | A. | The Board of Trustees evaluates tuition yearly. In the past, tuition has risen an average of 4% to 6% per year. |

 | Q. | Is it permissible for children to take vacations during the school year other than at times allocated in the school calendar? | | A. | Our school is a rich academic environment that merits a student's strong commitment to learning every day. Children who leave for extended periods of time are unable to glean the full benefit of their education. We strongly encourage parents to have children attend school daily and on time, planning their family vacations during the school holidays. |
