Strategic Plan - The Pegasus School

Dear Pegasus Community,

I am thrilled to share with you the culmination of our collective efforts — the Building WINGS For The Future Strategic Plan, which was approved in June by the Board of Trustees and will serve as a roadmap to guide our school into a bright and promising future. This plan reflects the voices of our students, parents, faculty, and staff, and it is built on the foundation of our shared values and aspirations. Throughout this process, it was clear that each element of the Strategic Plan had to center around one thing: the students. By putting our desires and hopes for the students at the forefront, the pillars of the strategic plan fell into place.

How do we best support the curious minds of our high-achieving and compassionate students?

By surrounding them with a vibrant, diverse, and supportive community of peers, faculty and staff, and parents
By providing them with an innovative and thoughtful academic and social-emotional curriculum that gives them the best tools to navigate our ever-changing world
By hiring, training, and supporting the very best teachers to help guide them through their time at Pegasus
By providing spaces on this campus where they can safely and comfortably grow into the best versions of themselves
And by providing a stable financial and governance model to ensure that The Pegasus School remains one of the best independent schools in Orange County.

INSPIRed Learning

Curious minds are always learning and seek inspiration. How do we infuse inspiration into our classrooms and into the experiences of each student on the Pegasus campus? We create educational experiences/opportunities that ignite and intrigue our students’ imagination.

At The Pegasus School, each child engages in a joyful, supportive learning environment that inspires and challenges them to reach their unique potential. We design and implement a dynamic, student-centered, Pre-K–8 curriculum that anticipates the evolving needs of our bright, curious students.

Leverage a financially sustainable economic model aligned to our mission, vision, and values that supports program excellence, socioeconomic diversity (accessible and affordable), and student success
Cultivate community relationships that lead to ongoing philanthropic support
Develop capital growth strategies to provide long-term financial health
Optimize effective governance with our Board of Trustees by partnering with the Head of School to remain proactive, challenge assumptions, and examine issues from different perspectives.
