Joyful Learning Begins Here

At The Pegasus School, we strive for engaging learning experiences daily. Our rigorous and dynamic program provides an exceptional foundation in the areas of language arts, math, science, social studies, Spanish, computer science, environmental education, physical education, and the visual and performing arts.

Students benefit from an exceptional teaching faculty who guide student interests and talents within a community-focused environment. A day in the life of a Pegasus student includes a multitude of academic and specialty programs that meet the needs of each individual student while nurturing growth in collaboration with both fellow students and teachers. Our teachers know each student personally, and they develop programs that involve innovation and critical thinking.

Students  are immersed in an environment where it is safe to be smart and where speaking your mind and heart is encouraged from their first day at school. Upon walking onto the Pegasus campus, you encounter active learning immediately. This process is both joyful and exciting and is manifested in our youngest children’s experiences in the Outdoor Classroom and through signature Lower School programs such as Ancient Civilizations Day, the Fairy Tale Project, Rainforest Chitchats, Expert Fair, and the Amazing Race, and extending into such Middle School experiences as Cool Globes, Greek Day, and Spanish Day. Our curriculum also extends beyond the classroom walls through participation in various field trips and extracurricular programs, including Shakespeare Club (Grades 3-4), Battle of the Books (Grades 4-5), sports programs (Grades 4-8), and the Scripps National Spelling Bee (Grades 5-8), among others.
