While traditional academic success remains incredibly important, education today must equip the mind with an enormous capacity to adapt, create, and engage the world compassionately. Our students must master skills, tools, and knowledge to be competitive leaders in our global economy.
The Portrait of a Pegasus Graduate became clearly articulated through the dynamic work of the school’s Vision Committee — a collaborative group of faculty, administrators, alumni and parents who aimed to identify key skills that Pegasus students would need to succeed in life. Vision Committee members visited outstanding independent schools throughout the country and, through discussions with their colleagues, identified the core skills and attributes, outlined below.
Since 1984, Pegasus has delivered on founder Laura Hathaway’s promise of giving bright and motivated students a place to flourish. Now, more than ever, we remain committed to Dr. Hathaway’s vision.
