In order to ensure the BYOD Program's success, student devices must meet the following minimum requirements for both hardware and software:

Power	Gr. PK-2: Students need to bring their own power cord to campus, as batteries may not last through the entire school day. Power cords will be stored in the classroom charging stations during the school year. Devices will primarily remain on campus, but will be sent home with chargers during school breaks. Gr. 3-8: Devices will travel from campus to home daily. Devices must be charged at home and brought to school fully charged. Students may bring their own power cords to campus, as batteries may not last through the entire school day. Bj Crabtree

Lower School Technology Teacher

Bio
BJ has been teaching lower school (K – Grade 5) technology at The Pegasus School since 1997. He also coaches after school sports in the Middle School. BJ attended Sonoma State University and considers being a father of three boys his greatest honor. He enjoys Pegasus students’ curiosity and how much he learns each day from them. In addition to enjoying his family and having a great interest in computers, he enjoys watching, playing and coaching sports.
Kathy DeBest

Computer Science Teacher

Bio
Kathy teaches computer science teacher for the Pegasus Middle School and Grade 5. She has taught for 20 years in Long Beach and Tustin Unified School Districts. Throughout her tenure, Kathy has: taught at an elementary STEAM magnet school and middle school science, developed technology integration procedures and curriculum, and created competitive robotics teams at two elementary schools in Tustin. She holds an M.S. in Educational Administration from National University and a B.S. in Elementary Education from New Mexico State University.
Nyly Sy

Bio
Nyly has worked with every grade level in K-12 schools. Prior to Pegasus, she worked as the director of technology for nine years at Vistamar School in Los Angeles and five years at Westerly School in Long Beach, where she was responsible in implementing the technology curriculum and infrastructure from the ground up. Nyly earned a B.A. in Sociology from UC San Diego and has received extensive training in technology and information science. She enjoys dancing, cooking, troubleshooting and spending time with her family.
Corinne Yeager

Technology Coach

Bio
Corinne comes to Pegasus with three years of teaching experience in Kindergarten, first and fourth grades. She has spent the last three years with Emery Unified as an EdTech TOSA (Teacher On Special Assignment). In this role, Corinne also facilitated an after school coding and robotics club for Grades 4 – 8. Corinne obtained a B.A. in Diversified Education and multiple subject credential from the University of the Pacific, and an M.A. in Educational Technology from Concordia University. She considers herself a travel bug and enjoys yoga, cooking, spending time with family and friends and curling up with a good book.
