During this process based art class, students will have exciting and engaging opportunities to create art through their own curiosities. Art activities will be introduced to students as open-ended questions that will encourage them to closely interact with their environment and look at the world differently. Projects such as creating brushes out of natural materials and then painting with mud, building “upcycled” sculptures, and exploring emotions through drawing with lines and colors are just a few examples of what will be offered. This inquiry based approach to making art will help develop children’s problem solving and critical thinking skills, self-expression and self-awareness, and build confidence and individuality.

Children are economists too! A mix of math and logic, economics is the study of choices people make to be happy. We do this everyday when we decide which shirt to wear, which TV show to watch, and what to eat for lunch. In Discovering Economics, students will learn about the main economic principles through games, real-life examples, and team discussions. In doing so, students will better understand the world around them, how business is done, and how the economy functions. With a solid foundation of how the world works, children can apply the same reasoning skills to make better, more informed choices. Miss Nathalie has a cum laude BA in Economics and has taught Economics for over 20 years. Last year's topics will be reviewed, and new topics will be introduced.

Have you ever wanted to create your own adventure? In this fun and creative class, students will explore the world of tabletop role-playing games (RPGs)! We’ll begin by playing through two exciting journeys, the first a world of magic and mayhem and the second a world run by heroes with exceptional abilities (Starsworn and Giga-City Guardians). Students will use their creativity to develop and draw characters and their math skills to overcome obstacles. In the second half of the course, students will have the chance to write and create their own RPG. We will use easy-to-follow worksheets to aid the writing process, focusing on character development, world-building, and storytelling. Whether you’re new to RPGs or a seasoned adventurer, this class will offer something for everyone. At the end of the course, students will get to play through their own adventure!

How does electricity work? Where does it come from? Learn electronics by building your very own circuit boards which you can take home at the end of the session. We will cover the basics of electricity (current, voltage, and resistance) and learn about electronic components such as resistors, switches, LEDs etc. Children will be encouraged to experiment and be hands-on with their projects, which they will choose themselves. Ms. Nathalie studied electronics in England at the Sevenoaks School and has remained passionate about the subject as a hobby and interest.

Discover French with Mademoiselle Nathalie, a native speaker who will tailor each class to the students’ needs and interests. Expect lots of interactive group games, hands-on creative projects, songs, and kinesthetic activities! We will learn French the fun way with material that is specific to each student. Strap in, because this session the Egghead Engineering team is hopping in the time machine and going back in ancient history to build huge engineering marvels! Using LEGOs, students will build awesome ancient creations like aqueducts, huge dams, wells, and giant coliseums. Then, we'll test them with the crush test, the weight test, and all of our other tests to make sure they can stand up to the challenge! All Eggheads will get their Ancient Engineer ID card, authorizing them to design and build any ancient wonder they can think of. At the end of the session, they’ll also get their official Ancient Engineer Degree - proving they’re ready to build the toughest challenges!

This individualized writing course is designed to follow each student's unique interests and passions with the goal of publishing their own book! It is tailored for second- through fourth-grade students. We will focus on various genres and writing techniques that will be adapted to support the needs of the class. Students will work towards creating their manuscript and sending it off to the publisher on or before our last class. Included in the course fee, each child will receive one copy of their published work. Additional copies may be purchased separately. Note: It will take around six weeks to receive the published books.

TGA Golf is a class for Beginning Golfers to learn the basics. From how to grip the club, to where to stand to swinging the club around their bodies. We start small and practice chip and pitch shots (10-40% swings) and also introduce putting. We build up to ½ swing, L Swing, and even get to a full swing by the end of the session. TGA does this in a safe and fun environment for the students so that they want to come back each week. We will also introduce STEM principles related to golf (acceleration, spin and energy transfer) as well as life skills that everyone needs to learn (Respect, Honesty and Leadership).

Lights-Camera-Action! Ever wondered what goes on in a real News Broadcasting Studio? This course is an exciting introduction to the world of TV News Broadcasting for students in grades three through six. Students will learn about news reporting, anchoring, production techniques, the editing process, and camera/lighting operation. They will develop skills in researching, writing news stories, and presenting them confidently on camera. Through hands-on activities and projects, students will gain a deeper understanding of the news industry and its role in society. Students will also be producing a weekly Thunder TV Jr. Edition for the Lower School classes to show on each Monday.

WEBBY Dance Company instructors bring a new and exciting class plan each week to your school. Your child will experience basic dance and tumbling techniques.
