CORE Athletics raises the bar on after-school programs, taking your child’s physical education to the next level. TGA Golf is a class for Beginning Golfers to learn the basics. From how to grip the club, to where to stand to swinging the club around their bodies. During this process based art class, students will have exciting and engaging opportunities to create art through their own curiosities. Projects such as creating brushes out of natural materials and then painting with mud, building “upcycled” sculptures, and exploring emotions through drawing with lines and colors are just a few examples of what will be offered. Children are economists too! A mix of math and logical reasoning, Economics is the study of choices people make to be happy. In Discovering Economics, we will learn about the main economic principles through games, real-life examples, and team discussions. Students will better understand the world around them, how business is done, and how the economy functions. With this solid foundation, children can apply the same reasoning skills to make better, more informed choices. Additionally our Stock Simulator allows students to pick which stocks they would like to invest in and see how they perform over the course of the session. We will cover college level topics such as demand & supply, equilibrium, graphing shortage/surplus, inflation, shrinkflation, opportunity costs, investment strategies, market types and their main characteristics including the formulas for calculating revenue, profit and costs.

Depending on class composition, last year's topics will be briefly reviewed and new topics will be introduced to keep things exciting for everyone.

How does electricity work? Where does it come from? Learn electronics by building your very own circuit boards which you can take home at the end of the session. We will cover the basics of electricity (current, voltage and resistance) and learn about electronic components such as resistors, switches, LEDs etc. Children will be encouraged to experiment and be hands on with their projects, which they will choose themselves. If there are any returning students, we will use brand new circuit board types in order to avoid any repetition.

The benefits of being exposed to a foreign language at a young age are tremendous and long-lasting, reaching beyond linguistics to improvement of cognitive functions, higher academic achievement, and cultural enrichment to name just a few.
Discover French with Madame Nathalie, a native speaker who will tailor classes to the students’ needs and interests. We will learn French the fun way with plenty of interactive group games and conversations, hands-on creative projects, songs, dances and lots of kinesthetic activities, where children learn by doing and moving. Additional take home material will be provided to those who want extra practice. Depending on class composition, last year's topics will be briefly reviewed and new topics will be introduced.

Welcome back to the Debate Club! In our second session, we're taking the Public Forum debate foundation and exploring how these communication and critical thinking skills translate into real-world impact and leadership.

This session moves beyond the fundamentals, offering a richer and more challenging experience for all participants. We will spend more time analyzing complex, current-event topics, learning to understand and argue different sides of an issue with intellectual honesty and empathy. We will continue to refine research techniques and collaboratively craft comprehensive cases. Opportunities will also be provided for experienced students to mentor new debaters, building essential leadership and teaching skills.

Dive into the magical world of stop motion animation! In this hands-on class, students become filmmakers, learning how to bring everyday objects, LEGO bricks, clay, and original characters to life frame by frame. Using Chromebooks and tablets along with a variety of craft supplies, students will plan, shoot, and edit their own short animated films. By the end of the course, every student will have completed a movie, gaining essential skills in storyboarding, cinematography, digital editing, and creative problem-solving. CORE Performance Classes are designed for athletes ready to take their skills to the next level in any sport. Our Coaches work with each kiddo to increase overall athleticism and condition young athletes to perform physically & mentally at a higher level.

Each class builds key physical performance attributes—such as strength, speed, agility, and endurance—while also developing critical mental skills through our integrated social and emotional learning approach. Athletes strengthen their confidence, focus, motivation, resilience, and goal-setting abilities, growing into stronger competitors and more self-assured individuals on and off the field.

Classes include an array of training modules, such as: plyometrics for multi-directional explosiveness, change-of-direction drills for quickness, functional strength training for power and stability, and sprinting and footwork drills to improve speed and agility. Each session wraps with Sports Techniques, combining learned skills in a fun competitive setting.

This can be very effective, especially after a long day at school. Additional benefits include building self confidence through encouraging innovation and improving fine motor skills. Pick your favorite colors and create something unique. I will be offering the following projects: beanies, water bottle carriers, scarves/neck warmers, decorative items, small blankets etc. I will also try to accommodate any other ideas you may have. All creations will be custom made to size. Healthy snacks will be provided with parent approval. PK through second grade will focus on Hand Crochet with large yarn for easier looping, no hooks. Third through fifth grade will focus on Hook Crochet for more beginner/intermediate creations.

In this session of Egghead Engineering, we’ll put some of those machines to the test! Using a variety of LEGO™ Bricks and advanced specialty pieces like gears, wheels, pulleys, and axles, Eggheads will learn basic engineering principles on their way to creating some truly awesome, functional machines.
