Incredible MUN Success Over Memorial Day Weekend!

We are proud to share some spectacular news from our Model United Nations students. Over the Memorial Day weekend, our delegates from the elective class, as well as some of our younger students, competed across the country at two major conferences. They delivered a spectacular performance, ranking Pegasus as the #1 school at the IAC National Championships out of 95 competing schools.

Please find the highlights and individual results below:

Jackrabbit MUN Conference - Long Beach Polytechnic HS
Five of our 8th-grade elective class students stayed local to compete against a tough middle and high school competition.

  • Krish B. won Outstanding Delegate representing the United Kingdom in the UN Environmental Programme committee, focusing on Wildlife Sanctuaries.

IAC National MUN Championships - Orlando, Florida
Five of our delegates traveled to Florida to compete against the best in the nation, and their results were nothing short of historic:

4th Grade Division:

  • Zhengyuan H. – National Champion! “Z” competed in 5 committees, earning 4 Best Delegate awards and 1 Distinguished Delegate award, securing the 1st Place National Championship for his grade level.
  • Victoria W. – 2nd Place Nationally! Victoria competed in 4 committees, earning 1 Best Delegate award and 1 Distinguished Delegate award, ultimately placing 2nd overall in the 4th-grade division.

6th Grade Division:

  • Alicen L. – 6th Place Nationally! Alicen competed in 4 committees, earning 1 Outstanding Delegate, 1 Distinguished Delegate, and 2 Honorable Mention awards, placing 6th overall in her grade level.

7th Grade Division:

  • Madison G. & Annabel S. both competed in 3 committees, and each earned a Distinguished Delegate award for their excellent diplomatic skills.

We are blown away by the preparation, dedication, and brilliance of our Pegasus students. From our 4th graders dominating on a national stage to our middle school elective students shining locally and nationally, they represented our school with honor.

Please help in congratulating these students on a job well done.
