Safe Schools Coalition

The Pegasus School is a member of the Huntington Beach Safe Schools Coalition, which is an informal agreement between local school districts, private schools, and the Huntington Beach Police Department. The Safe Schools Coalition was developed as a means to respond to a critical school incident that requires an off-site school evacuation (ie. active shooter).

School personnel, including Pegasus employees, have been trained to assist the police department in the reunification process that takes place at the Sports Complex/Central Library. Additionally, as a member of the coalition, a Pegasus representative attends meetings several times a year at the police department, where school safety is discussed.
