The Annual Fund is the single most important philanthropic priority of Pegasus.
Academic excellence is our priority and is sustained by the generosity of the Pegasus community. Supplementing tuition, annual giving is necessary for Pegasus to operate and thrive. 
Your tax-deductible monetary contributions support an operating budget that funds faculty development, academic and co-curricular programs, facilities enhancements, technology pilot programs, and our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), among other things. Based upon area of interest, gifts may be directed to any of the following budgeted areas:

The Annual Fund kicks off at Back to School Night and continues throughout the school year.  Each school family is assigned a Give to Great Ambassador who will contact them personally with an invitation to participate.

  • What does my Pegasus Annual Fund gift support?

    Your tax deductible, philanthropic gift to the Annual Fund will make a direct and meaningful impact on every Pegasus student.

    Based upon area of interest, gifts may be directed to one of the following areas:  
    • Greatest Need: These gifts help fund the school’s most pressing, urgent needs and/or opportunities as defined by the Head of School and Board of Trustees.
    • Great People: These gifts fund things like: Recruitment and retention of experienced teachers, professional development, and financial aid to ensure a unique and qualified student body, and PTO Wish Lists and PegLove.
    • Great Program: These gifts fund things like: Arts and Music, Debate, Athletics, Environmental Leadership, and PTO PegTalks and RUN.GIVE.SERVE.
    • Great Place: These gifts fund things like: Classroom environment, the library, play spaces, student presentation areas, and PTO First Day Social and Pop Up Pegasus.
    The Annual Fund campaign runs September through June.
  • Why is 100% participation so important?

    It is a vote of confidence in our school, our faculty, and our educational mission.  

    We ask that every family participate in Give to Great, as it is the single most important philanthropic priority of the school.  The goal is 100% participation from our parents, faculty, staff, and Board of Trustees.

    High participation in annual giving programs is a benchmark used by foundations and outside funders when deciding which of the many worthwhile schools will receive their financial support.  One hundred percent participation is evidence that everyone in our school community shares in the effort. 

    Grandparents, alumni families, and friends of the school also consistently participate.
  • Why not just raise tuition?

    • A key goal of our school is to keep tuition as low as possible, to provide access to as many families as possible.  
    • A key benefit of donating to the Annual Fund is that your gift is completely tax deductible.
  • How much should I give to the Annual Fund?

    The school's Annual Fund goal is $900,000.

    Our request is that you make The Pegasus School your primary philanthropic priority.  We ask that you contribute at a level that is personally meaningful and that makes sense for your family, keeping in mind the number of children you have at Pegasus. Gifts range from under $1,000 to over $25,000.

    Every gift is greatly valued and deeply appreciated.

  • When should I give to the Pegasus Annual Fund?

    The Pegasus Annual Fund begins in September and ends on June 15. As your gift will make an immediate impact, it is best to give as early as possible.

    Gifts to the Annual Fund provide “unrestricted” or flexible dollars for current use during the year and are used to support areas of immediate need or opportunity as determined by school leadership.
