Middle School History Enthusiasts Compete in National History Day

On Saturday, March 9, five middle school students participated in the 2019 National History Day, Orange County (NHD-OC) contest, sponsored by the Orange County Department of Education.
National History Day offers a project-based opportunity for students to dive deep into a topic of interest based upon the selected theme. This year's theme, Triumph & Tragedy in History, was selected for "its broad application to world, national or state history and its relevance to ancient history or to the more recent past."

The following students voluntarily chose to spend over half of the school year researching as true historians and creating some very impressive projects to reflect their work.

She qualifies for the NHD state competition. At the end of March, Megan will be presenting her performance along with other NHD students at a middle school assembly. Stay tuned for updates!
