Student Places Fourth in National History Day Competition
Megan V. earned honorable mention and placed fourth at the state level National History Day (NHD-CA) competition.
The 2019 NHD-CA State FInals were held on May 10 –12 at William Jessup University in Rocklin, CA. Over 1,500 contestants from all over California competed in this major event. There were a total of 29 performances judged in the Junior category, in which Megan placed. Megan earned honorable mention and 4th place. Orange County continues to produce the most winners at state, making our county the most competitive in the state. Megan's project/ performance was entitled, "Reconfiguring Tragedy into Triumph: The U.S. Rehabilitation of the Hiroshima Maidens." In March, she was selected as a finalist and co-champion in the NHD-Orange County competition.
The Pegasus School is a coed, non-profit, nonsectarian day school in Huntington Beach, California, that serves students in pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8. A Pegasus education equips bright, motivated students to achieve future academic success and make a positive impact on society.
