  • Community Gatherings

Community gatherings, held monthly in the quad, are a tradition at Pegasus. The entire student body, teachers and parents gather as one community to celebrate the Community Value for the month, student and faculty achievements, and honors. Each event is hosted by a designated grade level during which students perform for the Pegasus community. Community Gatherings are followed by buddy activities during which older students work with younger students on a particular activity.
  • International Earth Day

Each year, the school's Green Committee hosts International Earth Day around March 20 on the Pegasus campus. The entire Pegasus community participates in this movement to help make a difference in the protection of our planet.
  • Graduation and Eighth-Grade Awards Ceremony

Graduation is the final event of the school year and the culmination of a student’s Pegasus experience. The eighth graders are presented in their caps and gowns to parents, friends, faculty, staff, and honored for their achievements at The Pegasus School. Graduation is preceded by an awards ceremony during which student accomplishments are recognized.
  • Grandparents & Special Friends Day

Grandparents or special guests are treated to an informal breakfast, special shared activities in the classrooms, and a performance of the Winter Concert. This event is hosted by the Pegasus PTO.
  • Shakespeare Week

Shakespeare’s birthday is celebrated through a school-wide week of activities: a Shakespeare dress up day; the middle school monologue competition sponsored by the N.E.A.; a Nine-Men Morris tournament; an Elizabethan picnic; trivia challenges; and a t-shirt design contest. The  faculty also participates by dressing up as a favorite Shakespeare character and performing during the monologue competition. This celebratory week creates an awareness and love for Shakespeare from a very early age and is a hallmark of The Pegasus School Library.
  • Moving Up Ceremony

On the last day of school, students, faculty, and staff gather in the Quad for a Moving Up Ceremony. The eighth graders are recognized, and then students in pre-K through Grade 7 are promoted to the next grade level. Special recognition is given to our fifth graders as they transition to Middle School, and our outgoing seventh graders are recognized as the new student leaders of our school.
  • Winter and Spring Shows

Precious voices, melodic tunes and creative dances fill the Pegasus theater each December and May as students perform on stage with joy and talent in abundance. Parents, grandparents, and friends pack the theater with anticipation and support of lower and middle school performers.
